TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY
Whether you are recovering from an injury or dealing with a long term condition, an individualized physical therapy program can maximize your chance to achieve your goals. Our purpose is to provide the highest level of physical therapy care. This begins with a complete medical history followed by a comprehensive evaluation of the musculoskeletal system. Rather than just treating the symptoms, we assess all areas of the body which may be contributing to your condition.
Orthopedic Manual Therapy
Orthopedic Manual Therapy is the use of hand-on techniques to assess mobility of the joints and soft tissues of the body and influence change in tissue with specific treatments. The Manual Therapy Treatment Approach requires a comprehensive analysis of the neuromusculoskeletal system to identify areas of dysfunction. The end goal is train the patient to maintain optimal movement on their own through an individualized program.
Movement Analysis
Optimal movement is necessary for all of life's functions, whether it is running a 10k, getting back to your sport, or playing with your kids. When our musculoskeletal system is injured, our movement patterns and performance is altered. By analyzing your mobility and functional movements, we can identify areas that need to be addressed through manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and mobility training.
Therapeutic Exercise and Mobility Enhancement
Therapeutic exercises are specific movements with the goal to either increase tissue flexibility, improve joint mobility, enhance neuromotor control, or develop strength and power. Through a comprehensive evaluation, we can determine which areas of the body need to be addressed in order to achieve maximum function.
